NASHVILLE, Tenn. (April 28, 2020) – LP Building Solutions has expanded its line of smooth finish products by introducing LP^® SmartSide^® Smooth Finish Cut-to-Width Soffit. Manufactured with engineered wood strand technology, the new portfolio addition follows 2019’s introduction of LP SmartSide Smooth Trim & Siding to provide Advanced Durability for Longer Lasting Beauty^® in a smooth finish.

LP SmartSide Smooth Finish Cut-to-Width Soffit provides a clean, cohesive look to match other LP SmartSide Smooth Trim & Siding products. For better workability, the product comes in a 16-inch width that helps to eliminate time spent ripping full sheets. Like all LP SmartSide products, LP's smooth soffit is pre-primed for exceptional paint adhesion. Easy to work with using standard woodworking tools, the product is designed to create an easier jobsite installation.

In addition to the new smooth soffit, LP offers a cedar texture soffit in a woodgrain aesthetic in pre-cut widths. Cedar texture vented soffits are also available with precisely cut, bug-resistant vents to provide an alternative to vinyl, MDO, plywood or hand-installed metal vents to make it easier to meet code requirements while adding architectural beauty. Treated to the core with LP’s proprietary SmartGuard^® zinc borate-based process and bonded with a water-resistant, resin-saturated overlay, all LP SmartSide soffit provides the same long-term durability and strength against harsh weather as its siding and trim products.
