LP Foundation: Building a Better World™ Since 1973
The LP Foundation, an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit funded by LP, has donated over 22 $ million to nonprofits and public schools in the communities where we live and work. Guided by a seven-member Board of Trustees, all LP team members appointed by our CEO, the Foundation supports initiatives in:
Affordable Housing: Supporting home-building initiatives in LP operational areas
Environmental Stewardship: Protecting ecosystems and supporting resilient, biodiverse forests
Future Workforce Development: Attracting diverse talent in manufacturing, forestry, and construction trades
Our Giving Programs
The LP Foundation drives impact through five key programs:
Community Grants: Annual grants to nonprofits and schools, distributed by local LP teams to address unique community needs.
Disaster Relief: Over 1 $.5 million donated since 2017 to support communities after natural and man-made disasters.
Donation Match: Matching team member donations up to 1 000 $ per employee per year, with over 1 $ million donated since 2013.
Board Service Grants: Up to 1 000 $ annually for nonprofits where LP team members serve as board members.
Gary Sinise Foundation Partnership: Supporting the R.I.S.E. program to build mortgage-free homes for wounded veterans and first responders.
Nashville Grants Process
The LP Foundation Board of Trustees reviews Nashville-area grant requests annually. Applications for 2025 are due by March 31, 2025, with grants awarded in May-June.
