Comment choisir les couleurs d'extérieur d'une maison : briques et pierres
We've explored how to choose exterior house colors with unusual roof choices, including siding colors with a brown roof and many other colors. Maintenant, passons aux couleurs des briques et des pierres. Si vous décidez d’inclure de la brique ou de la pierre à l’extérieur de votre maison, assurez-vous de tenir compte des couleurs inhérentes au matériau que vous choisissez. The stone or brick colors are an important part of the overall color scheme, but many people fail to consider this when choosing trim or roofing material. There is an array of LP® SmartSide® ExpertFinish® Trim & Siding colors that will match stone and brick to give your home a beautiful, cohesive look.
Brick
Brick colors are typically red, orange, yellow or tan-brown. If your house is brick, it is likely that a white or off-white trim isn't the ideal choice of siding color for red brick or most other brick colors. That's because white trim looks too stark against the warm brick colors and its grout. Instead, siding colors that go with red brick and other warm colors include creamier tans and beiges with a yellow or green undertone for trim color. Some great options from the LP SmartSide ExpertFinish trim collection include Shoreline Cream, Marshland Moss or Timberland Suede.

Matching siding colors with brick exteriors can be done with many roof colors-brown, gray, black or even green looks appropriate with most brick colors. Red brick and siding color combinations are nearly endless! However, tan-brown brick needs to be paired with a dark brown or possibly a black roof rather than a gray roof.
Siding Colors with Stone
Stone colors can be either warm or cool, and choosing which one will help you choose the right popular siding colors to match. What colors do you see in your stone? We've included some modern design examples to practice with. If you see orange, yellow, tan, brown or cream in the stone you choose, consider it a warm stone hue and pair it with either beige or dark brown trim (like LP SmartSide ExpertFinish Sand Dunes or Canyon Brown) and a brown roof. If instead you see gray, blue or purple, consider it a cool stone hue and pair it with off-white or gray trim (check out ExpertFinish Desert Stone or Tundra Gray) and a gray or black roof.

How to Choose Exterior House Colors for LP® SmartSide® Trim & Siding
Combining brick and stone on an exterior should be undertaken carefully. There should be a color relationship between the two, or else the result can be overly busy and discordant. The most harmonious pairings of brick and stone occur when using fairly neutral, brown brick and brown stone together. Never pair brown brick and gray stone together—you simply have to pick a lane! Go gray or go brown—mixing both on the same exterior simply won't work aesthetically. No matter your home's aesthetic, there are colors that can work well—even siding colors that go with orange brick!
