Build A Stronger Business with LP® Remodelers Edge™

At LP, we value partnering with you to build your business. We seek to provide not only one of the most durable siding materials available, LP® SmartSide® Trim & Siding, but also the support you need to operate a thriving business with our product. That's why we're excited to announce that the LP® BuildSmart™ Preferred Contractor Program is now LP® Remodelers Edge™

LP Building Solutions Associate Segment Marketing Manager AJ Keating joined us to talk about the program's updates. Let's take a look at the details and how you can get signed up today.

Getting the Edge With Durable Siding

As you gain experience and master how to install lap siding and other installation skills, your drive to succeed only increases. That's where LP Remodelers Edge comes in for contractors who install LP SmartSide products.

"We recognize that contractors are businessmen first and tradesmen second. By investing in our contractors and helping them from a business standpoint we're not just fostering growth at the contractor level, but also for LP as their chosen product manufacturer for durable siding. It's a win-win!" says Keating.

Having the extra tools and support you need to take your business to the next level can truly make a difference. Plus, you've put in the time and effort to make your business successful-it's time to enjoy some meaningful rewards for your hard work.

What You Earn

LP Remodelers Edge isn't simply a loyalty program. "The LP Remodelers Edge program is designed to arm contractors with referrals, resources and rewards to help grow their SmartSide business," Keating says. Here's how the benefits stack up:

  1. Referrals: When a potential client in your area searches for a contractor through the online LP Contractor Locator directory, those leads come directly to you from LP. This gives you a leg up and the chance to talk to a customer who is already interested.

  2. Resources: You may be an expert in the building industry, but what about spreading the word about your business? With LP Remodelers Edge you'll have the opportunity to close more sales with access to marketing funds, continuing education in LP SmartSide installation practices, and a dedicated support team for implementing marketing tactics and answering any questions that come up along the way.

  3. Rewards: As you purchase more LP SmartSide products, your purchases translate to points. You can reinvest in your business by using points to purchase customized marketing packages, exclusive deals from our vendor partners or even jobsite tools. Points may also be redeemed for cash, deposited onto a reloadable LP Visa card. Points are also good for other awards, such as upgraded tools or getaways.

"Over the years, we've seen many contractors use our program to gain homeowner leads, learn to market their businesses more effectively, and reinvest their rewards back into their business in a number of ways," Keating adds. "From branded vehicle wraps and lead generation campaigns to outfitting their crews with shirts that proudly display their company logo alongside LP's logo, we're proud to have helped our contractors become stronger business owners."

Member Levels

LP Remodelers Edge, like the LP BuildSmart program, allows you to move up the ranks and snag more support and rewards through increased use of LP SmartSide products. Pro, Expert and Master levels receive co-marketing support, lead generation, and recognition on the LP Online Contractor Locator as a member of the program. However, as you move up you'll receive more points, more cash on your LP card, and more bonuses.

More Resources: Siding Installation Training

The LP Remodelers Edge program also links contractors to exclusive training resources, siding tips and more. "All LP Remodelers Edge program members have single sign-on (SSO) access to the LP SkillBuilder® online training portal as well as the live virtual training seminars offered by our contractor training team, The Kruse Brothers," explains Keating.

“We pride ourselves on offering comprehensive training to fit all schedules, whether a contractor is interested in taking courses at their own pace through LP SkillBuilder or they're looking for interactivity from our live training events.”

How Can I Start?

It just takes a few easy steps to get started earning rewards and building your business:

  1. Submit your LP SmartSide product purchase invoices.

  2. Complete the required LP SmartSide siding installation training course.

  3. Once you reach 7 500 square feet in LP SmartSide product purchases, you hit Pro level status and unlock your benefits.

Build With an Edge

"The key to leveraging the LP Remodelers Edge program to its full potential is to create the habit of uploading product purchase invoices into the system. It's as easy as snapping a picture of an invoice with a smartphone and clicking a button," Keating advises. "Every LP SmartSide purchase invoice, regardless of how big or small, earns rewards points that can be used to reinvest back into a contractor's business."
