He Shed, She Shed, Episode 5: “Adults Only”

LP is pleased to support the FYI Television Network's exciting new DIY design series, He Shed She Shed! Every episode of He Shed She Shed features creative ways to customize and use outdoor sheds. These versatile structures aren't your father's storage shed anymore! On the May 1st episode, shed experts Luke Barr and Sarah Ferrell come to the rescue of two busy parents looking for adult-only escapes in their own backyard.
Pete's Hockey Hideout
In Massachusetts, mega hockey fan Pete is looking for a he-shed hideout where he and his buddies can enjoy alone time but still keep an eye on his two young sons. Pete already has a large shed with the shed roof and walls built with products from LP® Outdoor Building Solutions®. An equally large backyard gives Luke plenty of space to turn this he-shed into a New England-style log cabin retreat complete with log siding on the walls, a fireplace and a TV for watching hockey games. Half the shed becomes a vintage locker room with hockey equipment. A bar dressed up as an old hockey goal is the perfect place to sip a cold one after the big game, while overlooking Pete's own backyard ice rink.

Heather's Champagne She-Shed
In Austin, Texas, Heather is a busy mom and marketing executive who wants to create her own champagne-themed she-shed where she can relax and enjoy much-needed grown-up girls nights. Heather's current shed is small but features French doors and a large deck, so Sarah puts extra emphasis on the outdoor entertaining area by enlarging the deck and adding ample seating. Inside the shed, a rustic contemporary design theme is reflected in walls accented with reclaimed wood. A fold-out bar gives Heather a place to pop corks without taking up space when not in use. And because this shed is all about the bubbly, Sarah creates a show-stopping custom chandelier out of champagne flutes.
If you're dreaming of your own backyard escape, LP Outdoor Building Solutions has the tips, ideas and tools to help you visualize your shed.
