Last month, contractors Kyle Stumpenhorst of @rrbuildings and Jordan Smith of @jordansmithbuilds teamed up to build a modern farmhouse in Bellville, TX comprised of every residential building material LP has to offer. While Kyle and Jordan have both worked with a variation of LP Structural Solutions and LP® SmartSide® products, this was the first time they were able to work with the full LP Portfolio.
The build kicked off with a week-long shoot at the LP House where Kyle and Jordan installed products in the structural solutions portfolio including: LP SolidStart® LVL, LP® SolidStart® LSL, LP® SolidStart® I-Joists, LP WeatherLogic® Air & Water Barrier, LP® TechShield® Radiant Barrier and LP Legacy® Premium Sub-Flooring.
Having worked with LP SolidStart products before, Jordan says, "LP SolidStart is just what the name says- SOLID. With this premium product, you can build walls that are perfectly straight and that you know will stand the test of time."
Kyle was particularly impressed with LP TechShield Radiant Barrier and LP Legacy Premium Sub-Flooring. He says, "LP TechShield installs just like any other roof decking, but with added value in the radiant barrier and no extra steps. LP Legacy adds value with its strength and water resistance. So, if it happens to rain heavy on the jobsite (like it did for us), you can have the confidence that Legacy is tough enough to withstand the moisture."
Kyle and Jordan were both excited to work with LP’s newest product - LP WeatherLogic Air & Water Barrier. They not only found the product easier to install than house wrap and durable on the jobsite, they were able to learn #LPQuickTips during the installation process. For instance, they learned that you have 24 hours to replace the tape if you don’t like it and that the squeegee leaves white marks on the tape to let you know you pressed hard enough for it to properly adhere.
Of particular value, Kyle and Jordan were able to truly understand and experience the power of the portfolio of LP structural products working together to #DefendYourBuild. Being from one reputable manufacturer, Jordan says, "The products combine to create a superior build, while offering a rebate when bundled."

Footage from the build was also featured at LP’s booth at the International Builders Show (IBS)- C3810.
